360º Evaluation: More Than a Technique (Portuguese Version, Brazil)
Many companies aim to provide more detailed information to employees beyond that which is provided directly by their superiors. This aim is often formalized through 360° feedback techniques and processes. The use of these techniques proves that this information can be applied for more than merely facilitating individual development, and raises the question about whether they can also serve for operational decision making. The objective of this technical note is to familiarize the reader with these evaluation / feedback / 360° feedback processes and add to the discussion on their use, while reviewing practical aspects such as confidentiality, participants, communication and the construction of the tool itself.
