A three-step framework for ethical judgment
When an agent decides to carry out an action, they have an intention and choose a means (object) to achieve it, taking into account a series of possible consequences and based on particular circumstances. These three elements—the agent's intention, the chosen action or object, and the various circumstances that arise—constitute the three sources of morality of the act. We propose a three-step process for the ethical assessment of an act.
