Acton Institute - Teaching Note

This is a flexible case that can be used in courses on social entrepreneurship, social innovation, business ethics and corporate social responsibility, among others. This case has three main objectives. The first is to make students aware of what think tanks are and the role they can play in business and society. The second is to learn how different, and critical, structuring a corporate governance system can be in a public policy institute as opposed to a for-profit entity. The third objective is to encourage students to think critically and develop a position on the current humanitarian aid system.
