Valeria García, a new hire at the venture capital firm Alhoia Capital, is asked to make initial assessments of business plans received by the firm. She must evaluate four business opportunities: (1) French venture BioPalm, which plans to develop sustainable alternatives to palm oil; (2) Spanish venture CareConsult, a specialized consulting firm that provides strategic advice to hospitals and government agencies; (3) Dutch venture Smartbox, which offers an innovative solution based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology for package delivery; and (4) PlantPure, a proposed new chain of plant-based food and product stores in Germany.
