Description

In February 1994, British Aerospace announced the sale of Rover Group Holdings to BMW, the German automobile manufacturer. This case deals with the events leading up to the announcement and the implications for Rover's partner, Honda. The reaction of politicians, the media, the Stock Exchange and the trades unions was varied and posed difficult problems for Rover's management. This case won an award in the European Case Clearing House's 1994 Enterprise In Action Competition.
