Digitization, understood as the process of adopting digital environments to replace analog ones, affects products, work processes, and business services and models. Via the application of technologies such as cloud computing, the Internet of things, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality, big data, additive manufacturing and 3 D printing, machine learning and deep learning, and blockchain, among others, digitization is redefining the competitive context of the market economy, creating disruption among the traditional models. In addition to the areas mentioned, digitization also has an impact on organization and the way people think, feel, and behave.
