Description
Lawrence Stuick left the meeting feeling uncertain. He had a headache. It seemed to him that each of the attendees had defended their own interests, even though they had used technical arguments to make their case. He did not know which arguments he should accept or what decision to make. Should he hire the recruiting firm or not? Should he take advantage of the opportunity to downsize the Recruiting and Selection Department? With the data provided by the recruiting firm?s algorithm, why not delegate the selection of suitable candidates to the managers with whom they would be working? He knew the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in people management was unstoppable but still did not have a clear idea how to manage and make the most of these tools.
Learning Objective
To illustrate the use of artificial intelligence in talent selection and management in contrast with traditional methods.
