Description
The case deals with the troubles a sizable West German steel construction company encounters changing from the generation of managers who governed the company since its foundation and who grew into their jobs to a generation of professional managers.
This transition is further complicated by the fact that the families who own the majority of the company's shares, would like to continue family participation in the management.
These problems are the more painful as the company finds itself in a severely deteriorating market position.
