Learning Objective
This case may be used in organizational behaviour, human resource management, and general management courses as well as other courses addressing employment decisions, workplace diversity, and ethical issues. The following are the primary teaching objectives: ·To examine the complexity of the hiring process. ·To illustrate the challenges associated with enforcing organizational policies with respect to third parties. ·To explore the role of a mid-level employee facing obligations to multiple stakeholders with different interests at stake.
