Millenials, Work and the Company: Management Policies and Leadership Styles

: In this technical note we describe the attitude of the generation that recently entered the labor market, sum up the key points to bear in mind when adapting traditional management policies to this new reality, and identify the management styles needed to deal with younger employees. When millennials began entering the labor market, members of Generation X (born between 1965 and 1980) received them with skepticism, and baby boomers (born between 1946 and 1965) were no more welcoming, perhaps because of the natural tendency to maintain a certain distance and respond cautiously to what is unfamiliar.
