Setting the tariff for the electricity sector

The government must set the tariffs to be applied by the country?s electricity sector. For the first time, a financial model that considers the resources invested by companies in the sector and an estimate of the return they should be guaranteed will be used in this process. The case allows students to calculate the aggregate WACC (weighted average cost of capital) for the sector and explore its optimal application in this context.

This case replaces case F-378 ?El caso del profesor de finanzas? by the same author.
