Description

This case describes currently ongoing transformations in the automotive sector: Electric vehicles, ride-hailing, connected vehicles, and autonomous vehicles. The case provides relevant information on all four of them and allows considering their individual and joint impacts.

Learning Objective

This has been used for teaching mainly as background material for student projects. One class session is dedicated to discussing the impact of the four transformations and a second session, after a break, is for student presentations on how different companies should position themselves in this changing environment. This could also be used for scenario or other analyses to make predictions about the possible future states of the world.
