The Project Life Cycle: Definition

One of the ways to study how projects are managed is by reviewing the different stages along the project life cycle. In this note we explore one of the first stages, the definition of the project. Proper project definition is necessary in order to have a shared agreement among everybody who will be involved about the basic characteristics of the project. It includes the project objectives, scope, stakeholders, risks, assumptions, success criteria, etc.
