BGBO: Consumer 3D Printing

Nicole, owner of Board Game Box Organizers (BGBO), a small start-up company based in Munich, Germany, wondered if she should spend around €500 on a second 3D printer to develop her small business.
Nicole had come to Munich a few years ago to work in video production. Many of these sets had hundreds of small parts that were stored in plastic bags, which meant that time was wasted organising them before and after use. Faced with this situation, he decided to design and make an organiser for the inside of the box of his favourite game to sort the pieces.
Soon he started receiving requests for similar organisers from friends and the board game community, so he decided to set up a shop on Etsy Germany and start his handmade business. One of his friends told him about 3D printers, which he could use to make organisers faster and more efficiently.
He bought a 3D printer and designed an organiser for his favourite game. Gradually, more and more requests came in for organisers for this and other games. Nicole wondered if spending around 500 euros on a second 3D printer would allow her to take advantage of her designs and grow her business. But she loved her "real" job and was reluctant to give it up.
