    Poma de Tuixent is a cooperative to process and pack apples harvested by its members. The production manager must assess whether the process has enough capacity to handle the year demand, and what actions to take before the harvest season starts otherwise.

    Learning Objective

    The case deals with a similar situation than the classic National Cranberry Cooperative, but in a simpler format. It allows to discuss process capacity, bottlenecks, intermediate storage capacities, and to draw cumulative input-output curves to figure out the impact of the proposed actions.
