Alcatel Standard Electrica: Development Groups

In 1983 quality circles - later renamed 'development groups' - were introduced in Alcatel's Toledo factory. The case tells the story of these groups and describes the difficulties that arose during the implementation and the later development stages. More recently, management has been facing the challenge of setting up similar groups among the technical and administrative staff and of achieving the same degree of development as among the production workers.
