Making Better Decisions Using Big Data
Until not so long ago, information was scarce and filtered by experts. Today, the opposite is true: information is abundant and comes from multiple sources, but it lacks filters. And information is power, but only if you know what to do with it. We are currently entering a new era, that of Big Data, characterized by a huge amount of information that goes beyond the transactional data typically managed by companies. However, this information must be sifted through, because if it is not filtered and translated into data that makes sense to humans, it will be worthless. How to transform information into knowledge that enables better decision-making is the big question.
