Description
The case describes the challenges of a new manager appointed to run the innovation initiative of a large multinational. The corporate CEO supports the need for innovation and sets up a dedicated department. Gina, the newly appointed manager, faces the decision of how to set up the department. She contemplates several options including consulting to business units, training and running innovation projects. In trying to bring innovation to the corporation, she faces organizational issues, including the objectives of business units, coordinating with them and deciding how to best collaborate to get innovation done.
