Barman: The Amazon opportunity
Barman was one of the four leading players in the spirits industry. Due to the pressure of sales and objectives, the commercial directors of some countries, such as the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, had decided to establish business relationships with prominent e-commerce customers, including Amazon. The result has been a boost in sales over the past two years. However, Spain had not yet started selling through Amazon. In a recent business review with the region, the Spanish country manager brought up an opportunity that had opened up for Iberia. He had promised Amazon an answer within 48 hours so as not to miss out on the opportunity.
